If you’re starting a business with little (or no) money, your main priority is to survive.
You will have a mission, and a position, and specific work you want to take on.
Sometimes though, if your pipeline only has suboptimal clients, boring work, and projects you’re embarrassed to be associated with, you will need to take them on in order to survive.
And if your pipeline has dried up, you might need to try new things, broaden your perspective, and make smaller bets.
Success never ensures survival. Sometimes, even decades in, you may need to take on opportunities that you don’t love in order to survive or to accelerate your journey to your goal.
In order to achieve your mission, your business needs to survive. A human body needs blood, and a business needs cash flow.
