Over a decade ago, my friends and I released the first episode of Prologue with a recording artist named Ryan Lewis. We drove from Toronto to Montreal, went backstage to Osheaga, recorded the interview, slept, and left early the next morning. That kicked off a series of other interviews with artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone, and A$AP Ferg. It remains a project I’m extremely proud of.
One key aspect to making this possible was getting the right equipment in time—and a great shop named Long & McQuade made it possible. They rented us the mics, mixers, and interfaces that we needed just for a day.
I was reminded of this when I visited the store recently again to rent equipment to record New Material on the road. The team was still pleasant and extremely informative, and the pricing was still reasonable. The team even asked about the work. It was a great experience, as it always was.
