Write to remember your good ideas

I was recently chatting with a friend, who works as the CEO of a growing, profitable, business. He asked me: with limited resources, what should my team try in marketing? How should we approach it?

This question wasn’t an easy one—it was something even their team couldn’t figure out!—and fortunately for me, I wrote a blog post that came to mind.

Since he was having trouble prioritizing, maybe the team could think of marketing as a practice. Was there a way that marketing could generate more resources (e.g., budget, personal energy) for his team?

With this new question, and alternate way of thinking about the problem, we had an interesting conversation.

That’s another example of what blogging has done for me; it makes it easier for me to access ideas spontaneously.
