The Path

In the winter, when I commuted into downtown Toronto from my family’s hometown in the suburbs, I would often get where I needed to go through a Guinness world-record setting network of underground tunnels called the Path

I enjoyed getting lost in the Path, which usually meant discovering something—running into a new food court, finding a new shop, mapping out a new connection I hadn’t noticed before. Change also feels like it happens quickly in the Path. There’s a lot of bustle, a lot of energy, and a lot of liveliness.

In Hong Kong, there is a similar set of walkways in Central (above ground) that reminds me of the Path, also connecting different buildings and businesses together.
