Luxury hotels have a problem: choosing the right type of music, so that it sets the right ambience for the service team and for its customers.
The Wall Street Journal: “While some cutting-edge independent hotels and hip brands like W Hotels have long focused on music by hiring DJs and producing concerts, the trend is now spreading to more traditional luxury hotels.”
There’s also an opportunity to publicize these playlists at Spotify, because people—like me!—will want to hear these playlists at home too to set the ambience.
I’ve been liking the playlists by the Four Seasons Minneapolis, the Four Seasons Resorts in Hawaii, and the (non-hotel) K11 playlist.
