Nobody thought it was possible to run a mile in less than four minutes.
Until 70 years ago, one person did it. He believed he could, because he saw his run times improve slowly and steadily.
Then a month after that, somebody else ran a mile in under four minutes.
Since then, nearly 2,000 more people have done it. Remember, this was something that people didn’t realize was possible for centuries.
Fun fact: The first person was a medical student who trained for 45 minutes a day, not a full-time athlete.
The next time you think you don’t have enough time, or that your other commitments are holding you back, give it a second thought.
