An earlier blog post I wrote has been bouncing around my mind lately: consistency starts with inconsistency.
If the fear of commitment—or the avoidance of hard, consistent work—prevents you from getting started on something, the best solution is to find another way to see it.
What could make the work easy? Do you need to focus more on the present, and less on the future or past?
How could redefine the work, so that there’s less pressure associated with it? So it feels light-hearted and effortless?
What could make the work fun? Do you need to frame it as play, as practice, or as something else?
Is there a way to scope the work down into minutes, or even seconds?
