Lessons I learn, over and over again

Reading something that you like is a reason to get inspired. It’s not a good reason to feel bad about your work. Work with what you’ve got.

If you’re going to skip a day of writing, you’ll need to work twice as hard at writing the next day. Don’t be surprised if it feels frustrating.

Doing nothing was and is always an option. If you did something—moved it forward, made a contribution, in some small way—it’s worth at least acknowledging the fact. It didn’t happen on its own.

Small efforts add up. Taking them for granted discourages this fact.

If you have a chance at a positive outcome, ask yourself, “Why not you?” Believe in yourself.

These are the ones that come to mind. There are many other lessons.
