Thank you, Keane

My friend Keane Tan passed away eight years ago. He was 26.

Thanks for encouraging me with my writing.

Thanks for showing me how open the world was, and how everyone was one cold email away.

Thanks for helping me and our friends win the first year case competition.

Thanks for letting me in after hours at Xtreme Labs, where I wrote my first little ebook while you kept working. Thank you for introducing me to the team, when I saw the opportunity for us to work together.

Perhaps most importantly, thanks for believing in me. You were one of the few who actually did. Because I knew you took my goals seriously, I had to take them seriously too.

Thanks for being young with me; for all the laughs, the good times, the epic nights out.

Thanks for being a good friend to me and many others. The ideas from our conversations have grown so much in the years since we spoke that they’re a part of me now. It was so great for me to read your sister’s book, Still Standing.

You’ve been missed.

You’ll continue to be missed.
