If you want to do interesting things in your town or city, you’ll need to do homework. You might be signing up for local newsletters, checking out event calendars, or just walking around and observing.

If there isn’t anything that’s interesting, your homework will be to start an event. There will always be people looking to do something interesting. 

Maybe it starts with you walking around with a T-shirt of your favorite recording artist, TV show, or tech startup. It’s a bat signal to the people immediately around you. When someone makes a comment, you can let them know you plan on starting a meetup and ask for their email.

A place is only as boring as you make it.
